Portraits: Friends and Family, Vol. 1
Growing up in the 90s and early-2000s, my Mom always had a disposable camera on hand. She was the official/unofficial family photographer, documenting everything from time spent in the car on a road trip, to weddings and graduations.
After going through a camera roll, my Mom would get the photos printed at our local drugstore, compiling the photos in a scrapbook. Though I hated posing for photos, I learned the value of documenting moments and remembering.
Portraits: Friends and Family, Vol. 1 is made in the spirit of my mom’s family scrapbook, documenting those closest to me, and I to them.
